Organic rug - Chester Blocks Red is designed to be noticed. The Blocks structure works like a calm flow through the living room: longer, flowing lines that guide the eye and optically give the seating area more length. Chester Blocks brings movement without clutter and makes a rug living room a refined focal point.

As a wool rug, Chester feels full and comfortable, with a natural warmth that remains pleasant in everyday use. The low-pile of 8 to 9 mm keeps the surface taut and practical, so the rug remains organic and clear, even with intensive use. Hand-tufted finishing creates relief along the lines, giving the red rug depth with every light. The recycled cotton backing provides stability and makes this organic rug suitable for underfloor heating.

This red rug fits within a Japandi interior where form, material and calm come together. As a living room rug, Chester is a conscious choice for those who dare to choose a leading element with lasting quality. Organic rug - Chester Blocks Red thus forms a foundation that lasts longer than one trend.

Wool

Sheep's wool is the basis of this rug, and owes its dirt and moisture repellent properties to lanolin, the wool's own natural grease, which also insulates against the cold and muffles sound better than a hard floor. In the first few weeks the fibre may shed slightly, a normal trait that settles down with regular vacuuming. Because wool rugs are often hand knotted or hand woven, small irregularities and slight size variations are normal.

Vacuum cleaner

You can vacuum the rug with the bristles tucked in. To protect the delicate fibers, we advise against using vacuum cleaners (stick vacuums/robot vacuums), and for flat-woven rugs, to vacuum in the direction of the weave.

Care

Vacuum twice a week with the brush retracted, this also reduces shedding on a new wool rug. Blot a spill immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth without rubbing, so dirt does not work further into the fibre. Wool dries more slowly than other materials, so avoid getting it too wet. Shake the rug out outside occasionally for a deeper clean between vacuuming.

Your rug, made by hand

No two are the same

Small differences in the pattern come with handwork, and make each rug unique.

Row by row

A rug like this is built up by hand, one row at a time, by someone who has done it for years.

Made to stay

A handmade rug is built to be walked on for years, which is why these are the ones that get passed on.
